Every month, we report the monthly, annualized, and cumulative returns on the ACCRE Fund (cumulative since April 1, 2017). We will also provide metrics for the S&P 500 and the NAREIT Index. All of these metrics are “gains plus dividends” and the ACCRE metric is net of trading costs and margin interest. (In case you’re curious, we run the fund at TD Ameritrade, and pay by the drink for our trades just like anyone else.)
We also report on a dollar invested, cumulative, since the beginning of the fund, and compare that to a dollar invested at the inception of the fund in the S&P 500 and the NAREIT Index.
And yes, we’re trading real money. We experimented with a paper portfolio before we began this one, but since April 1, 2017, we’ve had real, live money at stake.
